An Orgy of Grilled Homegrown Vegetables

Tonight I made an entirely home-grown vegetarian meal, on account of not having managed to drag my ass to the grocery store to go shopping after returning from a weekend trip.

Aside from the salt, pepper, and olive oil that I used, every other ingredient was living in my own backyard either minutes or hours (in the case of the potatoes) before dinner.

I made:

1) broccoli and sliced Hungarian hot wax peppers tossed in olive oil, salt and pepper.  Grilled in aluminum foil (open top, not steamed)

2) eggplant: sliced, brushed with olive oil, then salt & pepper

3) potatoes: quartered, tossed with olive oil, sliced Hungarian hot wax peppers, salt, pepper, sage, rosemary and thyme. Grilled just like the broccoli: open topped aluminum foil

and of course,

4): IPA homebrew

satisfying.
